What to Expect
How Your Survey Project Will Happen
Your survey project’s success is a result of the collaboration between your company or organization and us. To make our collaboration more effective, we’ll develop a Project Step Summary and Timeline with you to follow throughout the project’s life. The summary and timeline defines what will happen from week-to-week and identifies where we'll need something from you in order to proceed.
Each Project Step Summary and Timeline varies by project, but here’s a typical example to give you an idea of what will take place:
Week 1 - Project Scoping
We'll meet with you to discuss the project's goals, audience accessibility, possible bias considerations and project time factors.
Based on the outcome of the meeting, we'll develop a Project Step Summary and Timeline with a cost quote. A service agreement will be provided to you to sign and return to us along with a preliminary question list.
Week 2 - Project Initiation
We'll develop the first draft of the question list and return it to you for comment. After further refinement, the question list will be reviewed by one of the statisticians for quality assurance. It's at this point that the design for statistical analysis will be created.
Once the final question list is approved by you, we'll create the actual online survey and begin pre-testing.
You'll provide us a list of email addresses of the population (or sample) along with any special text for the invitation email.
We'll prepare the email list and associated email campaign.
Weeks 3 and 4 - Running the Survey
After final pre-testing, we'll publish the survey and send the initial invitation email. The database receives data as respondents take the survey.
Weeks 5 and 6 - Data Analysis and Reporting
The data set will be reviewed and handed-off to the statistician for analysis. Statistical results are then incorporated into the report.
Before the report leaves our office destined for yours, a professional writer and editor, with substantial experience focused on editing detailed scientific documents, will review and edit the report.
Personal Presentation
If included in the project plan, we'll deliver a personal presentation to discuss the study's results and answer your questions.
